Jeffrey Paul Reese

Jeffrey Paul Reese, 56, of Wilmington, passed away on December 30, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.

He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, on January 31, 1968, to the late Daniel Reese, Sr. and the late Susan (Hill) Reese.

Jeffrey studied Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University, Norfolk, VA and completed his A.A.S. Degree in Culinary Arts at the College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, NC.
After having worked in the restaurant industry for years, he then moved on to owning his own Courier business. For the past 14 years, he primarily contracted with Velox Express, Inc., specializing in medical deliveries and pickups. He had a deep love for all animals, especially for his dachshund, Sophie, who predeceased him. He also loved the holiday celebration and twinkling lights of
Christmas. He will always be greatly missed but especially at Christmas time.

Jeffrey is survived by his sister, Melanie Willrodt and husband, Patrick; his nephews, Anthony Reese, Nicklas Reese; his niece, Nicole Reese; and his great niece, Bristol Reese.

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was also preceded in death by his older brother, Daniel J. Reese, Jr.

Memorial donations may be made in Jeffrey’s honor to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.

A graveside memorial service will take place at St. Sylvia’s Cemetery in Tivoli, NY at a later date.
