John Conrad Boda

     John Conrad Boda, age 64, of Burgaw passed from his earthly life Monday, March 13, 2023 at his home. He was born June 2, 1958, the son of the John Clifford Boda and Marguerite Borish Boda. He was born in Pittsburg, PA, where he loved his “Steelers.”

     John is survived by his loving wife, Ida Jean McCall Boda; daughter, Janett Ann Horrell and her husband, Wayne; four grandchildren, Kera Lynn Fox, Christopher John Rivenbark, Douglas Scott Rivenbark, Anthony James Horrell; four step-grandchildren; his loyal and loving German Shepherd, Heidi, who he loved dearly.

    John was an avid reader and lover of books, so much so that he was a book writer himself. He also had a lifelong love of helping others as he worked as a Paramedic - Firefighter in Pennsylvania for many years. At the age of 16 John began collecting different EMS, Fire, Military, and Boy Scout patches and collected over 2,000 patches in his lifetime. In his spare time John also liked building miniature dollhouses. In later working years John was a respected security guard for General Electric and the Port of Wilmington. Most of all John loved and cared for his beloved family.

     A service to celebrate and remember the life of John Boda will be held at a future date.
