John "Jack" Patrick Szyperski, Jr.

John “Jack” Patrick Szyperski, Jr., 74, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, at his home.

He was born on January 24, 1951, at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland, to the late John Patrick Szyperski and the late Edith Jackson Szyperski.

Jack loved golfing and boating and he had a special affinity for Wrightsville Beach. He was a past member of Lifepoint Church where he was also baptized. Jack, as a young man, joined the family business running several MacDonalds franchises. He was very close to his siblings and had a small but close-knit group of friends whom he loved dearly. Jack was a sweet, thoughtful man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dawne Szyperski; his brothers, James Szyperski and wife, Laura, of Atlanta, GA, Jeffrey Szyperski and wife, Wende, of Weems, VA; his sisters, Ellen Teague and husband, William, of Hiawassee, GA, Edith Szyperski of Raleigh, NC; his former wife, Bonnie; their children, Jackson Szyperski, Hurley Szyperski; and 12 wonderful nieces and nephews
