Joyce Mae (Bloemers) Milam

     Joyce Mae Bloemers Milam, age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 surrounded with love by her family at the home of her son, John.

     She was born December 30, 1928 in Los Angeles, California to Edward Stuart Bloemers and Mary Mae Ramelli Bloemers. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Jana McKinney and husband, Dennis; sister, Lorna Wright; and brother, Eddie Bloemers.    

     Joyce is survived by her six sons, Johnny Milam, Jr. (Brenda), Jim Milam (Susie), Jay Milam (Teresa), Joel Milam (Terry), Jerry Milam, and Jason Milam (Crystal); fourteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

     Joyce served her country honorably in the US Air Force.

     Without a doubt Joyce was a woman of faith: strong Christian faith which she instilled in her children. She loved her boys and doted on her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, all who brought her great joy. Joyce’s presence on this earth and in our family circle will be greatly missed.

     Graveside memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 6075 Stag Park Road, Burgaw, NC 28425.
