Judith Cavenaugh Turner, age 79, of Wallace passed from this life to her eternal rest on Friday, May 8, 2020 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born on November 27, 1940 in Duplin County; the daughter of the late Thomas Allen and Marguerite Teachey Cavenaugh. She was also predeceased by her son Randall Lee Turner; and brothers Ottis Cavenaugh and Larry Cavenaugh.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Joseph Lee Turner; daughter and her husband, Karen and Billy Hall of Willow Spring, NC; grandchildren, Scott Turner and wife Sandra, Jonathan Turner, Alexsandra Lubell and husband David, Amret Hall and Erin Hall; great grandchildren, Chloe Turner, John Lee Turner, Blake Garner, Kamryn Hall, and Bentley Hall;brother, Nathan Cavenaugh and wife Vicky of Wallace and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that loved Judy dearly.
Judy was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother and sister. She found great joy in the simplest things, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a diligent homemaker and with a joyful spirit she filled her home with love and welcomed all who entered. Being a good neighbor and friend, Judy was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed sewing and working in her yard when she was able. Judy loved the Lord and set a great example of her faith to those who knew her. Judy’s family is grateful to God for her life and for your kindness and prayers.
There will be a private family graveside service at 2:00pm on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Jacob Cavenaugh Cemetery with her son-in-law, Billy Hall officiating.
