Judy (Ammons) Sanderson

Judy Ammons Sanderson, age 67, of Willard, left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Monday, February 17, 2020.

She was born on November 15, 1952 in Sampson County, NC; the daughter of the late Berry Carl and Lucille Register Ammons.  Also lovingly remembered are her predeceased son, Mark Layton; sister, Ella Grace Register; brother, David Ammons and niece, Amanda Jean Ammons.

Judy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ronald Sanderson of the home; her daughter, Cindy Malone and husband, Tim of Willard; grandchildren, John Michael Malone,  Kayla Marie Malone, Timothy Ray Malone and wife, Rebecca, Zachary Pickett, Reed Stafford and Nick Goulette and his wife, Meaghan; great grandchildren, Alaiah Malone, John Malone, Jr., Rylan Henderson, Peyton Pickett, McKenna Malone, Britton Malone and Xander “Peanut” Goulette; sisters, Betty Jean Jones and husband, Bill of Delway, Faye Sparhawk and husband, Rhody of Roseboro and Lucy Morrow of Rose Hill; brother, Jimmy Ammons and wife, Louise of Sanford; niece, Destiny Ammons and husband, Jacob and Baby Colton Allen Ammons; nephews, David Ammons and his wife, Angela and Lucas Ammons; sister-in-law, Miranda Thompson and husband, Jasper of Rose Hill; brothers-in-law, Wayne Sanderson of Wallace and Lloyd Sanderson of SC and numerous friends and extended family that loved Judy dearly.

Judy was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother, sister who loved her family with all her heart.  She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family, especially the grandchildren.  She was loved by all but mostly loved by her husband who took great care of her.  Being a child at heart, Judy had a baby doll that she adored and was her constant companion during her illness.  She enjoyed watching hummingbirds feed during the day and spending time with her loving family.  Judy will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.

There will be a celebration of life service for Judy from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the home of Ronald and Judy Sanderson.
