Julie Faulk-Lewis

Julie Faulk-Lewis, age 48, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

She was born on October 18, 1972 in New Hanover County, NC to Judith (Hamilton) Faulk and the late John Stephen Faulk.

Julie was born and raised in Wilmington. She grew up loving the beach and spending much time there with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching her brother Eric play baseball and cheering him on. Julie was a daddy’s girl and was very protective of him as he was of her. She always enjoyed having her mom experiment with her hairstyles. In addition to watching her dad and uncles play pool, Julie also attended many NASCAR races with them as well. Her favorite pastimes were concerts and listening to live music.

Julie’s sense of style and beauty was like no other, as she was always seen in high heels. Her favorite comment to her besties was “you know we are the best-looking ones here!” and she always made you feel that way. Her smile and sense of humor could light a room.

Julie was very proud of her career as security manager at Belk Department Store and the purchase of her first home. She was a great home decorator. When she married Will, Julie also gained a stepdaughter, Haven. Two years later they had a son, Cole, the love of her life. Julie was many things but most important of all, she was Mom. Heaven has gained an angel.

In addition to her mother, Julie is survived by her son, Cole Lewis; stepdaughter, Haven Lewis; brother, Eric Faulk; and many other family and friends.

Julie was preceded in death by her husband, William “Will” Lewis.

A private family memorial gathering will be held in Julie’s honor at a later date.
