Katie Rae (Carter) Clark

     Katie Rae Carter Clark, 77, of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life Friday, July 3, 2020 at Pender Memorial Hospital.

     She was born September 8, 1942 in Pender County the daughter of the late Willie Ray Carter and Elizabeth Blizzard Carter. Also remembered is her brother, Stanley Carter who preceded Katie in death.

     Katie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Oliver H. Clark; daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Burns and husband, Jim and Regina Lefler and husband, Max; grandchildren, Hayden Burns and Reece Lefler; brother, Billy Carter and wife, Mary; many extended family and friends.

     First and foremost, Katie had a strong Christian faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, Nana to her grandchildren, sister, and friend. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

     Due to the current health concerns in our country there will be a private graveside service.
