Kenneth Dail Obituary

Kenneth Leverne Dail, 75, of Wallace left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Saturday morning, February 4, 2023.

He was born on August 30, 1947 in Duplin County and was the son of the late Leslie and Mary Lee Henderson Dail.  Mr. Dail was also predeceased by his siblings, L.D. Dail, Lottie Lloyd, Joyce Pierce and Etta Pierce.

He was a faithful member of The Church at Pin Hook.

Surviving to cherish his memory is the love of his life and wife of 20 years, Juanita Craft Dail; son, Jamie Dail and wife Maria of Wallace, Kevin Fleming and wife Ashley of North Hampton, PA, and Sean Fleming and wife Sophia of Stewartsville, NJ; grandchildren, Fallon Whaley (Noah), Cody Dail (Grace), Taylor Dail, Cayden Fleming, Kaylen Fleming, Colton Fleming, Olyvia Fleming and Zaira Fleming; granddaughter, Ansley Whaley; sister, Elizabeth Pierce, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved Kenneth dearly.

“Papa Tom” as he was affectionately called was a devoted husband and caring daddy, granddaddy, and brother.  His life was dedicated to God and taking care of his family.  Being a hard worker, he never complained and always got the job done.  “Papa Tom” was known to speak his mind, but he always told the truth when he did.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, riding his side-by-side, running the excavator and gardening.   Most of all, “Papa” enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter. They all were his life. Everyone who knew “Papa Tom” loved him and he loved in return.  Being a man of great integrity, he was dependable, and a friend to all.  “Papa Tom” will surely be missed but without a doubt, he was a true gift from God.  All who knew him were truly blessed.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service at Triple D Family Cemetery on S. NC Hwy 50, Wallace, NC.

“Papa Tom” loved all children, but he had a special heart for children who were ridden with sickness and disease.  In his memory, memorial gifts may be sent to Ronald McDonald House, 101 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC  27517 or online at  rmhch.org/ways-to-give/
