Kenneth “Kenny” Ray Meshaw, 67, of Wallace left way too soon on Sunday, June 5, 2022, as the result of a terrible automobile accident.
He was born on August 3, 1954, in Bladen County, NC; the son of the late Henry Barney and Sylvia Bigford Meshaw. Kenny was also preceded in death by his siblings, Dennis Meshaw, Danny Meshaw, and Deborah Meshaw.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his best friend and wife of 20 years, Charlene Futrell Meshaw of the home; his children, Kenneth Joel Meshaw and wife Marie of Ocean Isle, Colby Guyton and wife Stephanie of Chadburn, Kevin Meshaw of Shallotte, Leigh Anne Piner and special friend Ryan Winn of Rocky Point, Nicholas “Nic” Piner and wife Jennifer of Lakeland, FL, Charlie Sholar and husband Chad of Wallace and Meriel Desiree and fiancé Jonathan Benson of Goldsboro; 12 grandchildren, Tymber Meshaw, Carleigh Maready, Cadence Meshaw, Colby Rivenbark, Gavin Meshaw, Ellie Hardison, Kenley Guyton, Mia Guyton, Saxon Sholar, Kylan Sholar, Nash Piner and Harlowe Piner; sister, Catherine Bass and husband, Wayne of Clinton; numerous extended family and friends that loved Kenny dearly.
Kenny, as he was affectionately called, was a loving and devoted husband and caring father, grandfather, brother and friend. Being a true family man, Kenny loved his family with all his heart, especially his grandchildren. They were the light of his life. Kenny enjoyed restoring cars when he was not working or spending time with his family. He was a people’s person and the “go to” person in the neighborhood. Everybody that knew Kenny loved him. He loved unconditionally and was always ready to help anyone in need. Being a hard worker, Kenny was a great provider and loved to spoil not only his wife but also his grandchildren. One of his joys was treating the grandchildren with ice cream. He truly enjoyed this simple act of love he shared with them. Someone said Kenny had an “interesting sense of humor” and he did. He loved a good joke, loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh. He also enjoyed being a member of the “Liars Club”. Kenny will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
