Linda Faye (Christy) Meeks

     Linda Faye Christy Meeks, 84, passed peacefully from her earthly life Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at The Laurels of Pender.

     She was born July 25, 1941 in Wilmington, the daughter of Homer Christy and Eleanor Elizabeth Evans Christy. In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her husband, George Alexander Meeks; and son, Bucky Collins.

     Linda is survived by her best friend, Eloise Mathis; and many extended family and friends. Not to be forgotten is her canine companion, Baby Girl.

     Baby Girl was acquired by Linda as one day Eloise and Linda were driving down I-40 and Linda spotted a dog in the median which Linda insisted that they stop and rescue. Baby Girl found her forever home with Linda.

     Linda enjoyed “thrifting” as she and Eloise often spent hours/days visiting thrift shops finding lots of treasures. Linda was a delightful lady and a good friend.

     Following Linda’s request there will be no service held at this time.
