Lottie Mae Potter, age 91, passed gently from her earthly life on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 to her home in Glory to be welcomed at her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior and family already in heaven.
She was born December 30, 1933, in Bladen County, the daughter of Bill Henry Potter and Erma Squires Potter. In addition to her parents, Lottie was preceded in death by her brothers, Horace Potter, William Roy Potter, Leon Ray Potter, and Carl Potter.
Lottie is survived by her brothers, Jerry Potter (Linda) and Travis Potter (Sue); sisters-in-law, Judy Potter and Sandra Potter; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Lottie was the only daughter amongst all her brothers, so you can imagine how much she was loved and cared for all of her life. Family was told Lottie would not live beyond the age of 30, but she beat all odds, living to the age of 91. How special she was to so many. Her sweet spirit and sunny smile will long be remembered.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Centerville Baptist Church with visitation at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to funeral service. The Rev. Teddy Lawson will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Hargrove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that you consider a memorial gift to Centerville Baptist Church Parsonage Fund, PO Box 27, Kelly, NC 28448.
May the light of God’s love shine on you and bless one and all who encouraged Lottie and showed her love and kindness all of her life here on earth.
