Marilyn Miller

Marilyn Miller, age 66, passed away on Thursday, November 14th, 2024, at her home in Willard, NC surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 9th, 1958, in Columbus County to the late John Pittman Miller and the late Vera Edwards Miller.

She enjoyed gospel music and dearly loved her grandchildren. Marilyn was thought of by all who knew her as a special lady. She was regarded as extraordinarily sweet and loving, even as an angel in disguise.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Sherry Walker and her husband James Johnson; her sons, David Miller, Donald Gail Lee Walker and his wife, Jennifer; her sister and best friend, Kay Francis Floyd; her sisters, Deezy Nance, Berilyn Adams; her grandchildren, Shanika Ballard, Tayshawn Johnson, Ny’Kera Johnson, Devon Mcroy; and her great-grandchildren, Da’Keranna Mcroy, Zy’Keranna Mcroy; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Marilyn is also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Walker; her brothers, Gail Miller, Wayne Miller, Bill Miller, Earl Miller; her sisters, Lillian Anderson, and Edith Nobles.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with Pastor Ty Pickett officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
