Marion "Terry" Terence Capps

Marion “Terry” Terence Capps, age 71, of Willard passed from this earthly life to his eternal rest on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born on February 6, 1954, in New Hanover County, the son of the late Marion and Ethel Sego Capps.

Terry was retired from General Electric (G.E.) after 37 years of service.

Surviving is his best friend and wife of 42 years, Cynthia “Cindy” Jarman Capps; his son Sean Capps and wife Tamara of Wilmington; his daughters Kelly Grady and husband Seth of Warsaw, Jennifer Capps of Leland, and Nicole Capps of Wilmington; grandchildren Chloe Grady, Luke Grady and Alexis Capps; brother David Capps of Wilmington; sister Vicky Koester of Greenville, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Terry dearly.

Terry was a devoted husband and caring father, grandfather and brother.  He enjoyed the simplest things in life, but his greatest joy was family.  Being a ‘Jack of all Trades and Master of All’, Terry could fix anything and had the answer for most everything.  He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, and classic cars.  Terry was a kind and gentle man who loved to laugh and make others laugh with him.  Being the generous man he was with his time and money, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  Terry will surely be missed but treasured memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, one hour prior the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.
