Marjorie Dianne (Pender) Dillen

Marjorie (Pender) Dillen passed away peacefully at home on her 77th birthday, September 15, 2023 with her family by her side. 

Her loving husband, Paul, feels blessed to have shared 57 years with the love of his life. Marge is lovingly remembered by Kim and John O’Hare and their sons Max and Jack, Kathi and Michael Caggiano and their children Alyssa, Alex and Owen; Nancy Dillen and her children Brittany and Dylan, Michael Dillen and his son Jake, and Beth Dillen and Jamie Surprenant and their children Mia, Ayla and Wil. Raised in Norwood, MA as one of nine beloved siblings, Marge was predeceased by her mother and father, William and Elizabeth Pender, and her brother William Pender. 

Marge and Paul raised their family on Cape Cod for almost 50 years. Their home had an open door policy, and was the hub of countless dinners and celebrations for family and friends. While raising her family, Marge was also a dedicated and compassionate nurse. Not surprisingly, many of her patients and their families became lifelong friends. She was known as Margie to her grandchildren, who all adored her. She loved spending time with them and celebrating their accomplishments, big and small.

Throughout her life, Marge was a voracious reader who was always learning. She had a genuine interest in people and their stories, and she thrived on making connections with people wherever she went. She selflessly cared for and supported others as a daughter, sibling, wife, mother, nurse and friend. Her legacy will be the love and kindness she shared so freely. A vibrant life that touched so many will never truly end. 

A celebration of Marge's life will be scheduled at a later date.
