Mary Frances (Usher) Hobbs

   Mary Frances Hobbs, age of 86, of Wilmington, NC passed away on August 28, 2020, at her home with her family by her side.

   Mary Frances was born July 2, 1934 in Rose Hill, NC to Armand Marion and Mary Casteen Usher. In addition to her parents, Mary Frances was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Hollingsworth; husband, Stacy Hobbs; step-son Scott Hobbs; brothers, William Usher and Armand Usher III.

   Mary Frances is the mother of seven children, Marian Parker (Eugene), Debbie Carlton (Lewis), Ronnie Hollingsworth (Sylvia), Virginia Batts (Stuart), Becky Crain (Bill), Billie Jo Duff (Thomas), and Timmy Hollingsworth (Donna). She is also survived by step-daughter, Linda Byrd (Jimmy) and sister, Lucinda Lee (Lindle).  Mary Frances was blessed to have 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

   Mary Frances was talented in sewing, basket weaving, quilting, needle work and tending to her beautiful flowers. She was a seamstress by trade. She enjoyed writing poems for special occasions and writing her family history. She had a passion for genealogy and leaves a legacy of love to all whom she came in contact.

   Mary Frances was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She attended the Wilmington 2nd Ward.  She served in many church callings, but she will be remembered fondly for her work and the influence she had on the Primary Children.

   A private graveside service will be held at the Hollingsworth Cemetery.
