Mary "Dolly" (DiPietro) Becker

Mary “Dolly” Becker, 98, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington.

She was born on February 4, 1927, in Manhattan, New York to the late Santo DiPietro and the late Mary Gene DiPietro.

Dolly was fortunate to have many friends from her years living on Long Island. More friendships were made during the past 6 years being part of the Brightmore community in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Dolly is survived by her son, Joseph Becker and wife, Arlene; her daughter, Susan Paolantonio; grandchildren, Michael Becker, Melissa Figluizzi and husband, Nick, Joey Solimano and wife, Kimberley Green; and one great-grandchild Dorian Solimano.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Becker; her brothers, Jimmy DiPietro, Charlie DiPietro, Sonny DiPietro; and her son- in- law, Danny Paolantonio.

There will be a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 4849 Castle Hayne Rd. Castle Hayne, NC 28429, with Father Steven DiMassimo officiating.
