Maryann Francis (McCarthy) Collins

Maryann Francis McCarthy Collins, age 66, of Warsaw, NC left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

She was born on February 18, 1957, in Onslow County; the daughter of the late John Frances and Marilyn Kratz McCarthy. 

Maryann proudly served her country in the United States Navy for two enlistments.  She is a member of Warsaw United Methodist Church.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 43 years, Erwin Klaus Collins; son, Michael Collins and spouse, Adam of Kent Washington; sister, Cynthia Iversen and husband Ernest of Olive Bridge, NY; brothers, William McCarthy and wife Allison of Charlottesville, VA and Kevin McCarthy of Baton Rouge, LA; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, including her church family and friends that loved Maryann dearly. 

Maryann was a loving wife and caring mother and sister.   She found great joy in the simplest things, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She was a close and generous friend to many people who loved her dearly.  Maryann was always fun to be with and a great woman of faith.  She will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. 

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Warsaw United Methodist Church with Pastor Vito Bisogno officiating.

Entombment will follow the service at Devotional Memorial Gardens, Warsaw, NC.
