Michelle Bradshaw Obituary

Michelle Cavenaugh Bradshaw, 59, of Wallace (Pin Hook community) left this earthly life for her eternal rest in Jesus Christ on October 8, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC with her son, Jacob, and good friend Kay Karpuk by her side.

She was born on November 15, 1961 in Duplin County, the daughter of Gene Horace Cavenaugh and Elizabeth Wilson Harvell. She was predeceased by her parents and her best friend and loving husband of 29 years, Raymond Earl Bradshaw. She was also predeceased by her stepfather, Bobby Harvell; father-in-law, Raymond William Bradshaw; mother-in-law, Shirley Ann Miller Bradshaw; and older brother Mitchell Gene Cavenaugh.

Ms. Bradshaw was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and rested in Him alone for her salvation. She and her son enjoyed many phone conversations discussing Jesus Christ, the Bible, and she wanted her loved ones to have comfort in knowing her salvation was secure in Jesus Christ.

Michelle had a very large family who loved her dearly. Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving children, Crystal G. Robinson (Bruce) of Kilsyth, Vic. Australia; Jacob Bradshaw (Kele) of Rose Hill; Ray Bradshaw (Myrae) of Wilmington; David Bradshaw (Kathy) of Wallace, and Shelia Marshall of Carolina Beach.

Michelle had numerous siblings, half-siblings, and extended siblings, but she enjoyed a very special bond with her younger brother, Orvis Glenn Cavenaugh (Janice) of the Pin Hook community. She is also survived by her step-sister, Shelby Boone (Allen) of Wallace and her step-mother, Shirley Cavenaugh of Pin Hook

Her grandchildren loved her dearly: Regan, Hailey, and Sydney (Crystal); Jacob Jr., Josiah, Rose, and Rachel (Jacob); Donovan, Deklan, Drake, and Vikram (Ray); Izzy and Davis (David); Hunter and Fisher (Shelia).

Michelle had many nephews, nieces, and extended nephews and nieces. Michelle's nephew Corey (Glenn) was also her neighbor and they were especially close.

Michelle was a devoted wife and caring mother, grandmother, sister, niece, and friend. Michelle and her late husband, Raymond, were best friends and she loved him with all of her being in the 29 years they were united in holy matrimony. Michelle loved spending time with her family, pier fishing on Topsail Island while her health allowed, cold Sun Drop, and hanging with her best friends Neil and Lavonda Teachey and Kay Karpuk. Michelle thoroughly enjoyed traveling, enjoying two cruises with her late husband Raymond and even visited her daughter and family in Australia in 2015. Michelle was also a fantastic cook who rarely used recipes.

In addition to her various hobbies and interests, Michelle co-owned and oversaw a mobile home park in the Hallsville community (Beulaville) for several years with her late husband, Raymond (even several years after he passed), and also served her husband and household well as a homemaker. She always made sure Raymond was well fed and had his coffee!  Michelle will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Little Creek Cemetery (Hanchey Road-Wallace) with Pastor David Brock (Redemption Fellowship Church-Willard, NC) officiating.
