Horace Murray, Jr. (Phyllis); sister-in-law, Rose Murray; several nieces, nephews, and many friends all who loved Millard.
Millard Clark Murray was the embodiment of a loving friend, father, and grandfather. He was a devoted member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, serving as both a deacon and elder. Millard shared much of his time in fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ. He had a testimony of unwavering faith and strength, that of which he was unashamed to share with others. Millard was also a member of Stag Park Hunting Club for over 30 years, and better known as “Swamp Boy” to his hunting brothers. Many of Millard’s days were spent at the hunting camp and shack, where he made lifelong memories and shared many homecooked meals with his friends and family. He loved to fish in the Northeast Cape Fear River, and when his health allowed, he could often be found trolling his favorite spot, Fishing Creek. Attending sporting events was one of Millard’s favorite things to do with his family. UNCW Men’s Basketball and Pender High School athletics were among Millard’s most cherished teams. No matter the activity, you could always count on Millard to be the first to support those whom he loved.
