Mona Faye (Reynolds) Morgan

Mona Faye Morgan, 76, of Wilmington, passed away from her earthly life on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

She was born on December 12, 1949, in Columbus County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Donnie Ethell Reynolds and the late Rachel Lee Reynolds.

Faye loved spending time at the beach, where she felt peace and happiness by the water. Faye especially enjoyed gospel and country music, often turning to their meaningful lyrics and familiar melodies for peace and enjoyment. Above all, Faye loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Faye is survived by her son, Elbert Eugene Morgan; her daughter, Donna Kay Cain  and husband Bobby; her grandchildren, Alicia Kinser, Ray Kinser, Samantha Williams  and husband Corey, Elbert Eugene Morgan, Jr and his fiancée, Gracie Lewis; 9 great grandchildren with a baby boy on the way; and her beloved dog, Ticket.

In addition to her parents, Mona was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Dwight Eugene Morgan.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with Pastor Wayne Hall Officiating. A graveside to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens after the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
