Murdis Faye Woodcock Charles-Craft, 75, affectionately known as “Murt” passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, independence, and Christian faith. She was surrounded by family and love. She was born February 27, 1950 in Wilmington to Wesley Steve “WS” Woodcock and Alma Faye Moore Woodcock.
Murdis Faye is survived by her loving family, daughter, Sandra “Sandy” Bigford and her husband, Randy; son, Brian Frederick Charles-Craft and his wife, Summer; grandchildren, Wesley Charles-Craft (Laura), Carter Bigford, Emma Charles-Craft, and Knox Charles-Craft; brother, Dennis Woodcock (Andrea); niece, Candace Migliara (Mike); nephews, Luke Woodcock (KJ) and Brad Pate (Jennifer); several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; and dear friends, all who loved Murt.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel. Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025 in Atkinson Cemetery.
