Nathan Perry Faircloth, Sr., 75, passed from his earthly life Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 12, 1946 in Burgaw, the son of Perry Faircloth and Lottie Strickland Faircloth. Nathan was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Kernodle Faircloth, his parents; Perry Faircloth and Lottie Strickland Faircloth; daughter, Tammy Lynn Faircloth; son, Christopher Paul Carroll; sister, Mary Bass; and brothers, James Faircloth, Bobby Faircloth, Sr., Plato Faircloth, Dave Faircloth, and Robert Faircloth.
Nathan is survived by his sons Nathan P. Faircloth, Jr. (Tiffany Jordan) and Tony Lee Carroll (Marsha Jones); grandchildren, Tucker Carroll, Serenity Rose Faircloth, and Nathan P. Faircloth III; sister, Shirley Malpass; and many other family members and friends.
Nathan was very hard-working with a strong work ethic. He retired from D&L Trucking Company after working 37 years. He was also a man of great integrity whose word was golden. He always kept his promises. Nathan will be remembered as a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be greatly missed.
Graveside service will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Faircloth Cemetery, NC Hwy 210, Currie NC. Reverend David Porter will be officiating the service along with special speaker Doug Roach. Casketbearers will be Ivy McCallister, Bobby Faircloth, Jr., Charles Porter, James Rickman, Buddy Craft, and Bobo Malpass.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service.
