Price and later by her second husband, George Benton Whaley; her son, Joe Carroll Price and grandson, James Brandon Price.

Nellie was a loving mother and caring grandmother. She found joy in the simplest things in life but her greatest joy was family.   When her health permitted, she was a diligent homemaker and great cook who filled her home with love.  She was considered the “Queen” of corn meal dumplings as well as homemade biscuits and many other delicious foods she loved to prepare.  For over 20 years Nellie was owner and operator of Hot Dog Hamburger Place in Rose Hill and later in Magnolia.  With a heart of gold, Nellie was a compassionate, gentle woman who loved with her heart and soul.  She was a great nurturer, free hearted and loved by all.  Nellie was blessed with a love for the Lord and a faith that carried her throughout her life.  She will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
