Pamela Gail Barnes, joined her beloved husband, Jerry Barnes in eternal rest on Monday, January 4, 2021, at the age of 72. She was born August 19, 1948, in Sampson County to the late Charlie and Geneva Gautier Bass.
Pamela is survived by her daughter, Lynette Reaves and husband, Grant Haynes; son, Anthony Thornton and wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Ashton Thornton, Emily Brooke Thornton, Shelby Lynn Reaves, Amanda Haynes, Amber Haynes, Alannah Guthke, and Victoria Wood; great grandchildren, Clayton McCray Smith, Lilly Haynes, Timothy Hickman, Ayden Hickman, and Adam Justice; sisters, Patricia Jernigan and husband, Charles, Wanda Strickland and husband, Randy; brother, Lenwood Bass and wife, Mary; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Pamela is also preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Bass, Jr., and sisters, Dorothy Bradshaw and Doris Parker
For many years Pamela was a faithful member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church in Clinton.
First and foremost, Pamela loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved gardening and took great pride in her yard. She also loved to play piano and was gifted with the talent to be able to play by ear.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Kelly, with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan conducting the service.
