Pamela Gray Tart

Pamela Gray Tart, 67, of Magnolia died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Vidant Duplin Hospital.

She was born on November 5, 1953 in Johnson County; the daughter of the late Cavin Upton and Mary Lou Brock Tart. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Becky Tart Foy, and Julia Tart Jarman. 

Pamela is survived by her sons, Dwight Tart and wife, Cristina of Autryville and Douglas Grizzard and partner, Floyd Sutton of Chocowinity; granddaughters, Mary Tart and Anna Tart; sister, Laura Collins and husband, Kenny of Jacksonville, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that loved her dearly.

Pamela was a loving mother and caring grandmother who loved her family with all her heart.  She was strong-willed yet gentle woman who always looked for the best in others.  Being very artistic and creative, Pam spent her free time, painting and making beautiful bird houses along with various crafts.  She enjoyed life and was a people’s person.  She loved to laugh and make others laugh. After the passing of her mother, Pamela was the glue that held the family together. She was the one who took interest in the Tart grandchildren and enjoyed taking them to numerous places.  They always looked to ‘Aunt Pam” for fun and unconditional love. She will surely be missed by treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and love Pam. 

Graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Maple Grove Church Cemetery, 784 Maple Grove Church Road, Dunn, NC.
