Patricia King (Moreland) Carey

Patricia King Carey, 75, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

She was born on July 7, 1949, in Washington D.C. to the late Joseph Dilmon Moreland II and Margaret Ann (Burrows) Millinor.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, James “Brad” Bradford Carey; stepsons, Christopher Carey, Cole Carey; her sisters, Maureen Spalding and husband, Chuck, Kathy Liskey, Vicky Clark and husband, Denny, Marianne Poss and husband, Doug; her grandchildren, Amanda Lambden Rollison and husband, Phillip, Allison Gilbert; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by her stepfather, John Millinor; her daughter Andrea Gilbert; and her brother, Joe Moreland.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at The Gathering in Surf City followed by a reception at 3:30 pm at North Shore Country Club in Sneads Ferry.
