Randy Ray Lewis

    Randy Ray Lewis, 65, passed from his earthly life Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at his home.

     He was born November 27, 1960 in Pender County, the son of Milton Lloyd Lewis and Ruby Lee Burton Lewis. In addition to his parents Randy was preceded in death by his sister, Violet Carter and brother, Charles Koontz.

     Randy is survived by his son, Timothy Forest; two granddaughters; his brothers, Milton Lewis (Gayle) and Henry Lee Koontz; and several nieces and nephews. 

     Randy was a happy-go-lucky man that never met a stranger. Once he met you, you became his friend.  Randy loved anything having to do with classic cars. In his younger years Randy enjoyed and was quite proficient at race car driving. In general, Randy was an old car buff as he loved tinkering with cars as well as racing cars. 

     Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Herrings Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. William Hill Pearsall conducting the service. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
