Richard Carl Hall, 77, of Burgaw passed peacefully at home on Friday, April 8, 2022 surrounded by his loving, caring family.
He was born in Pender County, the son of Albert Richard Hall and Geneva Faircloth Hall. In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by an infant sister; infant brother; sister, Louise Sanderson; and brother, Pete Hall.
Carl is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Judy Massengill Hall; children, Patricia Casteen (Ronnie), Ricky Hall (Carla), Tony Hall (Courtney), and Phillip Hall (Sharon); grandchildren, Kristina Hall, Michael Hall (Kayla), Kaylee Hall, Samantha Hall, Isabella Casteen, and Anna Hall; three great grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
Carl was owner and operator of Hall’s Pole and Pile Service, Inc. He was a Christian man and faithful member of Herrings Chapel United Methodist Church.
Number one priority in Carl’s life was his family that he loved and took wonderfully good care of. He was a great cook and enjoyed nothing better than cooking for family and friends - it was noted that his chicken and pastry was the best! For fun and relaxation, Carl enjoyed woodworking and hunting. Carl’s passing leaves an empty place in our family circle and in our hearts.
