Robert Casper Lewis

Robert Casper Lewis, 80, of Warsaw, passed from this life to his eternal rest on Saturday, January 28, 2023. 

He was born on May 21, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York; the son of the late Casper and Mildred Howell Lewis.  Mr. Lewis was also preceded in death by his best friend and wife of 60 years, Sandra Burris Lewis who died September 21, 2022 and their son, Dennis Lewis.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his devoted children, Joseph Lewis and wife, Denise of New York, Sean Lewis and wife, MaryAnn of Wilmington, Brian Lewis and wife, Jackie of Warsaw, James Lewis and wife, Christine, Peter Lewis and wife, Anna, Paul Lewis and wife, Lori, all of New York and Ann Marie Lewis and wife, Kristin of Warsaw; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Lewis of New York;  his canine companions, “Bruno”,  “Lucy” and “Ella”; his furry feline friends, “Juice Box” and “Boopy”; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and an abundance of extended family and friends that loved Robert dearly.  

With a big heart of full of love, Robert adored his family and was always there for them.  He was a kind man who enjoyed joking and laughing with others.  Being an avid animal lover, Robert never missed a minute making sure his dogs and cats were taken care of.  He enjoyed old cars, John Wayne movies and Johnny Cash music.  Some says he was a ‘charmer of the ladies’ but his love and light of his life was his wife Sandra who he missed every day.  Robert will also be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. 

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Lewis’ home on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
