"Bob" as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was a loving husband and caring father, grandfather, and brother.  He was a man of great integrity and had a sincere love and compassion for others.  His keen sense of humor and charitable spirit helped him cultivate enduring friendships that lasted his lifetime.  Bob loved his home and friends in Illinois, but he enjoyed spending the winters in Wallace, NC with the love of his life, "Sam".  He was a people’s person and never met a stranger.  Bob was loved by so many and he loved them in return.  He was a complete gentleman who loved his Lord, his family, friends, and his country.  Bob will surely be missed but his family is comforted knowing that he has moved on from this life to a much fuller one with his Heavenly Father.
