Robert “Bob” Clark Trout, age 73, of Wilmington, NC passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.
He was born on November 21, 1947 in Columbus, OH to the late Robert Richard Trout and Betty Jane Walker Trout.
Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. Bob was an avid golfer, loved cycling, and he enjoyed working in his rose garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bob was a bright light to many people and will be missed dearly.
Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Victoria Wade Trout; son, Ken Lewis and wife, Christy; daughters, Adrea Allen and Angela Brownfield and husband, Chris; brother, John Postlethwaite and wife, Janice; sisters, Christine Hudson and Elizabeth Bullock and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Ashley, Robbie, Hayden, Dustyn, Brooke, Wade, Evan and Isabella; great-granddaughter, Alyssa; and special friend, Wallace West.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wilmington on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11am with Pastor Robb Lapp officiating and the U.S. Air Force performing military honors.
