Samuel “Sam” Lee Branyon, age 45, of Willard, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
He was born on August 3, 1979, in Dalton, Georgia to Perry Branyon (Renee) of Blairsville, Georgia and Frances Stilies (Wayne) of Copperhill, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Randal Baliles and fraternal grandparents James Lee and Edith Sue Branyon.
Surviving to cherish his memory is the love of his life and fiancé Kristin “Tia” Fox; their precious girls, Sparrow Leeann Branyon and Phoenix Novalee Branyon of the home; his brother Perry Jonathan Branyon and wife Stacie of Copperhill, TN; maternal grandmother Elizabeth Green of Copperhill, TN, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Sam dearly.
Sam was a simple man who enjoyed the simplest things in life. His life was all about Tia and his girls and he was a great ‘Daddy’. Sam was an avid outdoorsman who loved his many animals, traveling and spending time with his family. Being a talented young man, Sam could fix or build almost anything, such as building chicken coops and playhouses for his girls. He was often called “MacGyver”, as he was one who could solve problems or fix things in a most creative way, often with limited resources. Sam was a hard worker who was dependable and reliable. He loved Tia and their girls with all his heart; they were truly his world. Sam will surely be missed but treasured memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
