Sean Vincent Pierre Williams

We are deeply saddened to announce, due to a tragic accident, the passing of Sean Vincent Pierre Williams, age 43, in Wilmington, on October 13th, 2023 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on February 26, 1980 in Toronto, Canada to Velma Hazel DeLyon and Bryan Jacob Williams.

Sean was bigger than life and so vibrant that words cannot sufficiently capture who he was to all of us.  He was deeply committed to his family and loved them fiercely. There was nothing Sean enjoyed more than being surrounded by and spending time with his loved ones. He had a zest for life that reflected in his contagious laughter and candid humor.  We will miss his stories and jokes that had us laughing so hard our stomachs hurt for days after.  Sean’s magnetic personality and charismatic presence easily filled the room, he gave the warmest hugs and his smile was brighter than the sun. He loved experiencing the beauty this world had to offer and enjoyed traveling to new places and experiencing new things. The way he lived and appreciated life was something to emulate and we all benefited from his brotherly guidance and support.  Sean’s kindness and generosity was limitless. He was Superman to many of us, always willing to help anyone in need or share words of encouragement during times of sadness.   Sean was so many things to so many people and to know Sean is to love him. We were blessed to have him in our lives and he will be deeply missed and never forgotten.  We will honor Sean by cherishing our memories of him and maintaining his legacy and love for life.

In addition to his parents, Sean is survived by his son, Vincent Jasper Fox Williams; daughter, Jade Potratz; sisters, Vonette Williams (Milos Petrovic), Faith Williams, and Sonia Ramsey. Sean is also survived by his granddaughter, Mia Potratz.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023 between 6-8 pm at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, 315 Willow Woods Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Sean’s life at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, 315 Willow Woods Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409 on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11am, with Chaplain Miles officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.
