Susan Michelle (Moitis) Weston

Susan Michelle Moitis Weston, age 67, left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Friday evening, July 16, 2021, from Vidant Duplin Hospital.

She was born September 8, 1953, in Steubenville, Ohio; the daughter of the late Francis and Donna Forrester Moitis. 

Susan is survived by her best friend and devoted husband of 43 years, Randall “Randy” Clark Weston of the home; her two sons, Adam Clark Weston of Pensacola, Florida and Alex David Weston and his wife, Lauren of Woodbridge, Virginia; her brother, David Moitis of Santa Barbara, California and numerous extended family and friends that loved Susan.

Susan was a loving wife and caring mother who loved her family dearly.   She enjoyed the simplest things in life but her greatest joy was her family.  Susan enjoyed being outside in the warm sunshine and loved the beach. Her favorite pasttime was playing golf and in her younger years, playing racket ball.  Being a woman of uncommon character, beauty and grace, Susan was a friend to all. She was a strong yet gentle presence who looked for and encouraged the best in everyone. Susan served many families as she worked in home health care before her retirement.  She enjoyed caring for Alzheimer patients as well as their families.  Susan was a shoulder upon whom many found comfort and support.  Her first love and devotion was always to her husband and to her boys. They were her life.  Susan will surely be missed but cherished memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
