Theresa Marie Smith

Theresa Marie Smith, age 47, of Wallace left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born on February 13, 1971 in Connecticut and was the daughter of David Frank and Angela DiCostanzo Smith of Wallace.  She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Maria and Vincent DiCostanzo; paternal grandparents, Julius Frank and Maude Smith and uncle, Louis DiCostanzo.

Theresa was a parishioner at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Wallace, NC

Surviving, in addition to her loving and devoted parents, is her sister, Jennifer Smith of Wallace; her aunt, Judith Ruvo of New York; uncle, Donald Smith of Connecticut; cousin, Lucy Fratino of New York and numerous extended family and friends that loved Theresa dearly.

Theresa was an angel on this earth.  When she was born, the doctors said that she would never live more than a couple years; yet she proved them wrong.  Even though she had some challenging circumstances in her life, she never complained.  With a big heart and loving spirit, Theresa taught others how to love and how to be loved in return.  If there were ever a perfect child, she was the one.  She was a blessing from God and a joy to be around.  Theresa will surely be missed but her family is comforted knowing that she is now complete, happier than ever before and in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.  

Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha, NC
