Tony Martin Obituary

     Tony Weston Martin, 79, of Currie passed from his earthly life Saturday, January 25, 2020 at his home.

     He was born March 19, 1940 in Pender County, the son of the late Truman Weston and Annie Malpass Martin. He was preceded in death by his step-son, Michael George.

     Tony is survived by his wife, Shelley Thornton Martin; sons, Tony Martin, Jr. and wife Kathy, Troy Martin and wife Cynthia, and Tracy Martin and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Kenny Lee Martin, Brittany Martin, Tesa Bee Martin, Gabby Martin and Zoe Martin; five great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

     He served his country proudly in the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 545 in Wilmington. Tony retired after 38 years with Hess Corporation.  

     The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00p.m.  Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.

     Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Malpass Cemetery, Richard Switch Road, Currie with Sonny Porter conducting the service.
