Wade Herbert Brown

Wade Herbert Brown, 64, of Riegelwood, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 3, 1961, in Columbus County to the late Ralph Eugene Brown and the late Elizabeth Eva (Knox) Brown.

Wade worked for 44 years at International Paper Company. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing golf and working on cars. Wade was an outstanding mechanic and could repair any kind of vehicle even making and racing his own cars. He was a loving and kind husband, father and brother who will be deeply missed by all that knew him

Wade is survived by his loving wife Angela (Williams) Brown; his son, Tyler Wade Brown and wife, Katey; his brothers, Irvin Custer Brown and wife, Rachel, Ralph Earl Brown and wife, Wanda, Allen Walter Brown and wife, Kathy; his mother-in-law, Gerardine Barber Williams; his brothers-in-law, Norman Andrew Williams, Kevin Patrick Williams; his sisters-in-law, Pam Brown, Linda Brown, Debbie Dew; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Wade was also preceded in death by his brothers, Brady Thomas Brown and William Eugene Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Wade’s honor to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

His memorial service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with Pastor Ryan Everette and Pastor Bradley Huggins officiating. A two-hour visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
