Wanda (Blake) Caison

     Wanda Blake Caison, 77, of Willard passed from her earthly life Saturday,  September 4, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

     She was born in Delco July 16, 1944, the daughter of Isham Blake and Thelma Carter Blake. In addition to her parents. Wanda was preceded in death by her stepson, Darren Caison.

     Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, JD Caison; daughters, Kathy Dimarzio-Guzman and Toni Dimarzio-Giddeons (Billy); son, Timmy Caison; stepson, David Earl Caison; grandchildren, Kayla Southerland, Dylan Guzman, Tyler Guzman, Bailey Mae Woodcock (Justin), Madi Giddeons, Emma Grace Giddeons, and Johnathan Caison; sister, Alice Hershley (Jerry); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

     Wanda was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

    Wanda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mama and nanny. She had a great love for all of her grandchildren, including numerous nieces and nephews. Her favorite pastimes included flowers, a passion for reading, old cars and sewing Raggedy Ann dolls. Let’s not forget her Coca Cola collection, marbles and her crossword puzzles. A weakness for lottery tickets, sweet tea, root beer and milkshakes. She loved going Saturday morning thrift shopping with her grandkids. Her favorite vacation memories are held in the mountains. If you ever met our Nanny you quickly knew her as she never met a stranger. Wanda delt with her lengthy illness with grace and rarely ever had a complaint. Even though she had great difficulty speaking she communicated well with a pencil! Always kind and thoughtful of others, Wanda was a joy to know. She is now healed and resides in her heavenly home.

     The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Shiloh Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary. The Rev. Gardner Eakins will conduct the service.

     Burial will follow in Eakins Cemetery.
