William Earl Strickland

William Earl Strickland, age 50, of Willard left this earthly life way to soon, for his eternal rest on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

He was born on February 6, 1973, in Pender County and was the son of Lloyd Strickland, Sr, and Kathy Sheffield Strickland of Wallace.

Surviving in addition to his parents, is his loving wife of 25 years, Christina Kohne Strickland of the home; his brothers, Lloyd Strickland, Jr. and wife Wendy of Sneads Ferry, Christopher John Strickland and wife Angela of Rose Hill and Anthony Paul Strickland and wife Tina of Sneads Ferry;  nieces and nephews, Sean Strickland, Ivey Strickland, Res Southerland, Patricia Southerland, Joel Bowen and Michael Manley; father and mother in-law, Harold and Fran Kohne of Teachey and numerous extended family and friends that loved William dearly.

William was a caring husband and devoted son who loved his family very much.  He was a simple man who enjoyed simple things in life, but his greatest joy was family.  He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and watching them grow up.  William was a welder by trade and was very talented.  He enjoyed sports of all kinds. With a witty personality, William loved to joke and was a great prankster.  He was one who was always ready to help anyone in need.  Being an honest, kind and laid-back man, William was good to everyone he knew.  He was an anchor to his brothers and was always there for them.  William will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with Pastor Chris Jarman officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace, NC.

Casketbearers will be Craig Bowen, Billy Bowen, George Whaley, James Whaley, Rashon Pickett, Ivey Strickland, Sean Strickland and John Strickland.
