William Paul Turner, Sr., 82, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.
He was born on May 17, 1940, in Wilmington to the late Willie Preston Turner and Ethel Sullivan Turner.
Paul was a very proud man who loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and always put his family first. He was a member of the Pine Valley United Methodist Church and loved helping people in need. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. Paul, a strong hard worker, retired from the City of Wilmington as a H/VAC technician and electrician. He will be greatly missed by many in the community but mostly by his family who loved him dearly.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Lisa Turner, Lynn Turner; his brother, William “Bill” Turner and wife, Brenda; his grandchildren, Ashley Ladner, Taylor Ladner, Kayla Turner, Josh Turner and wife, Hayden; and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Kyleigh, Desmond, Matrix, and Banks.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Janet Turner; his son, William Paul Turner, Jr; his sisters, Faye Turner and Ann Vanderdrink.
As per Paul’s request, there will be no services.
