Winfred "Allen" Batts, 59, of Wallace, left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 17, 1957 in Wilmington, NC and was the son of the late Winfred and Ernestine Williams Batts. Also lovingly remembered is his sister, Peggy B. Davis who died on September 25, 2016.

Allen is survived by his devoted brother, Marty Batts and wife, Linda of Willard; nephew, Jerry Davis and wife, Billie Jo of Wallace; niece, Tonyia Davis of Kenansville and numerous friends that loved Allen.

Allen was the youngest of three children and was loved dearly by each of them. Being the 'baby' of the family, he always had someone looking after him and making sure he was taken care of. He was an avid wrestling fan and loved to fish. Allen enjoyed recipes from the "Travel Channel" and would make dishes using alligator meat and other weird food from their recipes. Allen will surely be missed but treasure memories of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Thursday, one hour prior the service at the funeral home and other times at Marty and Linda's home.
