Erin Bannon Robinson

BENFLEET, ESSEX, UK – It is with profound sadness and gentle peace that the Robinson, Points and Bannon families announce the unexpected passing of their loved one, Erin Bannon Robinson. Erin passed gently in April, 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Erin was born in Burbank, California to the late Arthur Eugen Bannon and Alice Yvonne Mills Points. Erin was lovingly raised in Wilmington, NC by her parents, Alice and Gerald Lee Points, II, MD.

Erin was a beacon of light, a soul of unparalleled beauty and an all-around extraordinary human being who brought joy, inspiration and deep love to everyone fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved working with small children in her adopted hometown of Benfleet. Erin also relished her role as the “unofficial Halloween Ambassador” to Benfleet. Erin was a woman of immense talent, and boundless creativity, and her ability to bring details to life was nothing short of amazing. She enjoyed a full life, traveling with her husband, Duncan, visiting Italy, Scotland, Ireland, Germany and Egypt, while settling in England as her adopted home. She created friendships that lasted a lifetime everywhere she went.

As a wife, mother, sister and friend, Erin was a constant source of encouragement, patience, and love, instilling in all the same passion for life, love and kindness. Her beautiful light shone brightly and will serve as an anchor for her family. Her wisdom, kindness and comforting presence will be remembered and treasured forever in the hearts of those she loved so much.

She is survived by her husband, Duncan Robinson, her beloved and most precious son, James Robinson, her mother and father, Alice and Dr. Gerald Lee Points, II, sisters, Stephanie Wilson (Chris), Heather Latham (David), brothers Sean Bannon (Suza), Lee Points, Ethan Points (Sarah), Clyde Stephenson (Karen), brother-in-law Angus Robinson (Nikki), nieces and nephews whom she adored, aunts, uncles and a plethora of cousins whom she dearly loved. A special mention goes to her best friend, Cindy Fountain Stokes, her copilot in all sorts of shenanigans over the years.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Riley’s Creek Memorial Garden, Rocky Point, NC.
